| Entropy x 21, 2005 – 2006 grapefruit, approx length 250 cm Firstsite at the Minories Art Gallery, Colchester Each month over a 21-month period, I placed a fresh grapefruit in my studio to observe the slow and varied transformation as the days passed. Surprisingly, several years later, none have rotted or decayed completely, but exist as blackened, dehydrated objects, in a reduced state reflecting their earlier form. Photos: Douglas Atfield
